Generate inexpensive, clean energy with new Air Breeze Small Wind Generator
FLAGSTAFF - AZ -- Southwest Windpower just released Air Breeze, the latest generation of AIR – the world’s most popular small wind generator with more than 105,000 sold in 120 countries. The AIR line of small wind systems provide battery power for a variety of applications that need small amounts of energy worldwide.
Released in 1995, the original AIR Wind Generator utilized the most up-to-date and innovative technologies to improve and enhance the ability to generate power using the wind. Starting with the patented Electronic Stall Regulation, Southwest Windpower has continually improved the performance of this machine with several versions over time including the Air 303, the Air 403, the Air X and finally, the Air Breeze. The Air Breeze is precision engineered to deliver more energy at lower wind speeds than any other wind generator in its class. Improvements include:
- New Blade Design – With 30 percent more area, the wider airfoil provides lower startup, and improved overall performance. Three durable composite blades mean increased reliability and durability.
- Reduced Sound – The new airfoil design now includes a boundary layer disruptor or “trips” for contributing to quieter operation. In third-party testing Air Breeze was found to emit the same sound levels as the wind itself.
- New Controls – A microprocessor-based smart internal regulator with peak power tracking means improved performance, optimized energy output, improved battery charging and reduced sound. Additionally, improved electronic stall control reduces shutdowns in high winds and improved power tracking maximizes energy production at all wind speeds.
- Increased Durability – An improved die-cast aluminum body increases the life of the product and makes it easier to fit blades and nose cone; the brushless neodymium alternator creates more efficient energy delivery without maintenance.
From remote homes and cabins to rural communication towers and monitoring stations to boats and RVs, people are taking advantage of small wind systems to generate inexpensive, clean energy.
