Last month, our community was dazzled by the performance of the Ohio State University Band, under the direction of Woodmore alum Jon Waters, at the Woodmore vs. Lakota football game on Oct. 17. During this exhilarating event, both the Woodmore and Lakota bands had the opportunity to perform with the OSU Band on the field. By the end of the night, the crowd of several thousand was on their feet in a standing ovation, commending the hundreds of young band performers for a job well done. Anyone who braved the cold to attend this game will likely remember it as a stunning example of talent and camaraderie that crossed the lines of rival football teams.
In commemoration of this distinctive event, Woodmore's CAGE is selling two different prints of the OSU Marching Band. These prints, done in a professional large format, highlight the famous Script Ohio, with the Woodmore "W" and two OSU "O's" painted on the field, and a patriotic Eagle featuring the OSU band as well as both Woodmore and Lakota bands.
The unframed Eagle print measures 20 inches by 12 inches and is being sold for $44.95. The Script Ohio print, which measures 20 inches by 16 inches unframed, is available for the above price. A limited edition print of Script Ohio also being offered with Jon Waters autograph is selling for $59.95.
A special framing offer is being extended to all who purchase the photos as well. For an additional $60, you can have your OSU print professionally framed by Candy's Custom Framing. You can be reach them by calling 419-349-1934.
Photos may be purchased several ways. You may visit www.woodmore-cage.com to order your prints. If you wish to save the $9.95 shipping charge, you may also purchase your prints at Pills 'n Packages in both Woodville and Elmore. The Script Ohio print is also on display, in the available frame, at the Woodville Branch of Fremont Federal Credit Union.
Both prints are absolutely breathtaking! They would make wonderful, memorable Christmas gifts for your loved ones and friends. Don't miss out on your opportunity to own a piece of local history. Proceeds from the sale of these prints will benefit CAGE.Thank you for your support.
