Southwest Windpower, Intel honored by council

The Arizona Manufacturers Council has named Intel Corp. as its Manufacturer of the Year for 2008 and Southwest Windpower Inc. as its Outstanding Small Manufacturer.
The companies will be honored Tuesday at a luncheon at the Scottsdale Plaza Resort.
Since 1996, Intel has invested more than $9 billion in three manufacturing facilities in Chandler and contributes about $2.6 billion to the state's economy each year.
Flagstaff's Southwest Windpower is the world's largest producer of battery-charging small wind generators and has been a pioneer in wind energy.
The Arizona Manufacturers Council represents the state's manufacturers and is affiliated with the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Manufacturers. |
