Workshop series at Appalachian focuses in alternative energy sources

BOONE—The Western North Carolina Renewable Energy Initiative at Appalachian State University has organized a series of workshops that will focus on alternative energy sources.
The workshops will meet in Harper Hall on campus unless otherwise noted. They will be conducted by experts in the alternative energy field.

April 19-20 Small Scale Wind Energy
Steve Loritz from Southwest Windpower (SWWP) will teach the basics of residential wind systems at Appalachian’s wind research facility on Beech Mountain. The workshop also will serve as dealer training for SWWP. Cost is $300 for non students and $95 for students. The workshop is limited to 40 participants.
