Some tens of thousands of jobs have been spurred by a $9 billion grant from the Obama administration, according to a report released by the Energy Department on Friday, which concluded that the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) supported an average of 52,000 to 75,000 construction and installation jobs over the last three years.
